Gen2 Energy is a private company owned primarily by founders and strategic investors. It has been funded through equity offerings that received strong support from strategic investors, in addition to firm commitments through subscriptions from the board and management. Vitol, the world’s largest energy trader (USD 140bn revenues in 2020), acted as an anchor investor in the latest offering with an undisclosed sum, resulting in 11,1 % equity ownership post-money. Other key strategic investors were Høegh LNG and Seglem Eiendom.
