Gen2 Energy is pleased to welcome three key staff members to the company. – In the last month, we have significantly strengthened our team with three experienced professionals who bring both strong motivation as well as industrial expertise to the table, says Jonas Meyer, CEO.
Dr. Odd-Arne Lorentsen will be filling the position as CTO. Dr. Lorentsen holds a PhD degree in electrochemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, having served in several technical development and management positions at Yara International and Hydro over the last twenty years. Dr. Lorentsen is also a member of the Portfolio Board for Natural Science and Technology at The Research Council of Norway and Chairman of the Board at the NV Faculty at NTNU.
– I am very excited by getting the opportunity to use my experience to help build an important building block in the Green Shift. Technology Strategy building, evaluations and innovations are among my specialties, and I look forward to participating in a new major Norwegian industrial effort, says Dr. Lorentsen.
Mr. Henning Henriksen has been employed as Head of Environment, Health and Safety. Mr. Henriksen leaves his own consultancy practice and has extensive experience from industrial gases production in AGA & Linde and risk management consultancy in Lloyds Register.. Among his areas of expertise are risk- and technical safety in the gas and petroleum industry for major accident facilities..
– Safety is key to success, and a corner stone in everything Gen2 Energy will be doing. Building a strong safety culture compliant with regulations and the expectations from our stakeholders is fundamental in the energy industry, and I look forward to being a part of expanding upon the proud Norwegian industrial heritage with hydrogen at the core. Safety culture takes time to build, and I am extremely pleased to be part of the team already at this early stage of the company’s development, he says.
Mr. Haakon Helgesen is Gen2 Energy’s Executive Vice President Project Development. Formerly employed as Vice President at TechnipFMC, Mr. Helgesen is educated at Harvard Business School as well as having a master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
– Hydrogen is central to the Green Shift and will be a crucial component in the energy mix of the next decades. My main experience is with project from planning to completion, and although the field is new to me, I really look forward to using my experience in overseeing the construction of Gen2 Energy’s production sites as they materialize, he says.
